Blasts in Hyderabad – What a shame

I am breaking by blogging silence (hiatius, perhaps?) by doing what all sane minded folks should do. Let’s begin by saying that the Saturday blasts in Hyderabad and reported discovery of other terror devices out to be condemned in the highest terms. You do not get a good feel when anyone dies or gets hurt, least of all, when you learn that innocent folks who are enjoying an outdoor evening, including kids, failed to return home, because someone blasted a bomb.
The bombs would certainly not asked for anyone’s religion, ideology, age or profession before hitting them and that is the whole tragedy. While law enforcement is surely going to nail these faceless terrorists in due course, it is only a resolute public opinion that would perhaps deter such attacks.
My humble homage to all those who left us on Saturday, and remembrance to all those who have elsewhere died in terror violence in the past, either as innocent victims, or those who died fighting the terrorists, such as the security personnel on duty who defended the Indian Parliament House from the terrorist attack.

Good that you have raised an issue, most Indians prefer to remember for not more than a day or two.We have forgotten many deaths after paying homages( I am not belittling your effort anyway)and get back to 9-5 jobs.We always try to imitate West, but most of time we end up aping the wrong things or not so important things.Indians do not mind few deaths here and there, whereas UK and US fight for each casualty(sometimes they find time to reach Afghanistan and Iraq too).Perhaps this tendency of cheap lives in our psyche is not new.We fought wars in the past and many who fought and got martyred were remembered more than who won the war.Coming back to more recent era, I came to know through a national daily proudly disclosing that India is a country with second highest terror affected deaths.In a country of more than a billion, one life is like a drop in an ocean, but can we think of an ocean without drops.This death will again be forgotten, because this ‘ocean’ might have got one more ‘drop’ somewhere.Lets not forget that the people who lost their loved ones will not get them back.
Perhaps our PM is busy more with issues, he thinks is more important, leaving these questions unanswered.Govt cleans itself by starting inquiry(which never ends or even if it does,culprits are not caught and even if they are caught, they are not prosecuted)and uses our own money to pay some compensation, sometimes not even enough to perform last rites.
LIVES WILL ALWAYS BE CHEAP IF YOU, ME AND OTHERS ONLY WHO WRITE BLOGS IN THE NIGHT AND RUSH TO OFFFICE IN THE MORNING, CONTINUE DOING SO.IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN LETS NOT CRIB, LETS NOT PAY HOMAGE BECAUSE IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN OR KEEP THE SAME DRAFT READY SO THAT IT CAN BE RE-USED . WE HAVE MADE OUR LIVES CHEAP BY MORTGAGING IT TO GOVT OF INDIA, WHO CANNOT KEEP ITS OWN HOUSE(PARLIAMENT)SAFE.
Law will take its own course, and so will an out-law.Now even news of deaths do not come with exclamation mark.
